Human-Centred Teaching, Responsible AI and Professional Practice

Training to Teach in the Age of AI is a fully virtual professional-development programme for teachers, school leaders, trainers and other adult educators and education professionals worldwide. It combines established teaching principles with practical AI literacy, AI-assisted lesson design, responsible assessment, ethics, data protection, reflective practice, educator wellbeing and educational leadership.

International course and Pan-African scholarship

This professional-development course is open to adult educators worldwide. The separate Itoro Abigeal Oyewobi US$80,000 African Educators Scholarship Project funds up to 1,000 places for eligible adult teachers and education professionals residing and working across all African countries. Scholarship registration opens on 31 December 2026. The initial Nigeria testing cohort will commence on 25 January 2027, followed by progressive Pan-African cohorts from March 2027. Exact Pan-African cohort dates will be announced later. Participation is subject to eligibility verification, cohort capacity and operational readiness.

• Design meaningful assessments and responsible feedback processes.
• Use reflective practice, wellbeing strategies and continuing professional development.
• Develop a professional portfolio and practical implementation plan.

Protected online delivery

Each enrolled participant receives an individual learning account and completes ten structured modules, knowledge checks, practical activities and a professional portfolio activity inside the protected learning portal. The branded learner workbook is available from the learner dashboard as a downloadable course resource for the participant’s personal study and assessment journey.

Learning activities and professional evidence

Workbook activities, guided reflections, knowledge checks and the professional portfolio help participants apply the programme in their own setting. These are formative learning activities and do not have separate percentage weights in the learning platform.

Assessment and certification

• Complete all ten modules and the required course items.
• Complete the ten-question final knowledge check within 30 minutes.
• Achieve at least 70% on the final knowledge check.
• Up to two quiz retakes are available.

The learning platform calculates the course result from the final knowledge check. Learners who meet the course completion requirements and pass the assessment are eligible for a personalised digital certificate through their individual learning account.

Responsible AI and data privacy

Participants must not enter personal, confidential, safeguarding, medical or identifiable learner information into public AI tools. AI outputs must be checked for accuracy, bias, copyright, accessibility and local relevance. Professional judgement and accountability remain with the educator.

Fee and scholarship access

The standard international programme fee is US$80. Approved scholarship participants receive fully funded access to the virtual training, assessments and digital certificate, subject to eligibility and cohort capacity.

After completing the programme, learners will be invited to complete a voluntary course survey. They may also choose to send voluntary written feedback to enquiries@pinnacleinstituteltd.com. Feedback is optional and does not affect assessment, certification or future access.

Adult participation only: children are not enrolled in the programme and must not participate in associated surveys, interviews or research activities.
